Hey guys...just bought a 100 pack +R of this stuff, media code is AML 01, should be here on Friday at the latest. So keep an eye on this thread, I'll be testing it with a Pioneer 107D with unhacked firmware 1.18, and a NEC ND-2500A with hacked 1.07 Firmware. Will post results in 1x, 2x, 4x, and if applicable with the NEC, 8x.

Anyone else tried this stuff? And how did it come out? At $31 per 100, figured I'd give it a go.

    Disc ID: AML-001-00
    Book Type: DVD+R

    Initial reaction?
    One word.
    WOW!
This stuff burned clean and smooth! Just burned my first disc, 4x, pioneer 107D.

    DVD INFO results below.

I'll post a scan of the disc, and how print quality comes out soon.

Thank you for posting your media experiences. However.

    A. I hope you don't expect to formulate an opinion of this media based on ONE burn. My rule of thumb is at least 50 before I say the media is good or bad. Otherwise, you may get a bunch of coasters near the bottom of the spindle.

    B. The DVDInfoPro read error test is not a useful test for determining if a disc will playback well or not. I have had skippy, pixelated, coaster-like discs that have been all green with DVDInfoPro. Same for speed test.

    C. Your drives may not be the best for error checking discs anyway. They may give incorrect estimates in either direction.

Therefore, I suggest you watch the whole DVD and see if the image and sound is perfect. Do that for a few dozen more of these discs and then you can start raving about them.

88888, I know by far that one burn is not the holy grail, for sure.

I've watched 3 burns now, one on a GE DVD player, one on a $20 walmart special DVD player, and one on a PS2. So far, so good.

Also doing burns at various speeds with a NEC ND 2500a, and a Pioneer 107D.

The 4x burns have all been coming back flawless with both CD speed and/or Infoburn. No pixelation, great playback etc. I've gone through about 9 of these discs now..will let you know when the two 50 packs are used up with further experiences.

I still think the print quality however is the best I've seen.

Just an update to let everyone know - these discs are still going STRONG! Havnt had a single stutter or skip in any DVD player I"ve tried thus far. All DVD INFO/CD speed tests read perfectly...wish I had a liteon to test them more in depth...but so far these things are perfect on both a 2500A and pioneer 107D.

Another note - 8x burns? Flawless. I about wet myself when i saw hwo well the 8x burn went. I've only done one 8x burn so dont jump to conclusions..as well I've only tried 8x on my pioneer 107D, not the NEc yet.

Will post results of the 8x in a few minutes.

hmmm? What do you mean? Hech, if you're implying that I'm BSing, or what-not, heh, try a 25 pack for yourself. <shrug> I'm actually kinda eager to see other peoples results anyways.. <shrug> If you want to think that I'm just tryign to advertise, I'm not - I've posted good/bad about several types of media from supermediastore.

heh. If you choose not to give it a go, your choice, whatever floats your boat. But at 4x and 8x both, these have been awesome to me.

    Just my personal experience.

The only Supermedia Printable media I see is 8x nothing in 4x Still, the price is excellent if they perform as well as you have found them to be.

I have and NEC2510 and that will write to 8x as fas as the compatability chart indicates. my Sony DRU 530 ul will only write to 4x on these though.

I've excellent luck with their Ritek 4x Printable and Prodisks 4 and 8x Printables at somewhat more in cost.

Srill sound very good. To tell you the truth, I've had great burns/Playback on super good media TY as well as the most awfull genereric CMC code disks. I've also had bad burns on the good and bad disks at some time along the way. Doesn't happen too often though.
