Some of you use the Pinnacle Studio products even though it has had its problems. I have come to find it to be the most flexible editing software in conjunction with HFX Pro and its DVD Authoring abilities. But it definately had its faults

HFX effect were for transitions only (Not any Longer, HFX RTFX Plugin)
No AC3 Encoding (Now it does, Dolby Digital 2.0 and 5.1)
No Ken Burns effect (Now it has a Pan and zoom feature using the native picture resoltion)

The bottom line here is that you can get the upgrade CD from pinnacle for $29.99. I was willing to pay that just for the AC3 support. The deal ends on 9/20/2004. So I wanted to send out a reminder and no, I don't work for pinnacle. But so many times I have seen others post great deals and news that I would not have known to take advantage of and was able to because of this great web page and users.
