Ok, I've been having this problem for awhile and still haven't found a solution.

I have some vcd-compliant mpegs that I re-encode in V-dub for distribution purposes. I use the mp42 codec for the video and the lame mp3 codec for the audio. When I try to play the end result, the video plays in wmp7, but the audio is stuck (just repeats the first few seconds over and over). When I use the playa, all is well until the end, when it freezes the playa, and then I have to shut down with control-alt-delete, or shut down altogether.

Very strange...I'm making these with codecs I have but can't play them!
