Has offtopic just become a place for people to up their ******* post count?
Do people come here only to see how many consequtive posts they can make in different threads?
For fucks sake folks, step back and see what you're doing.

tgpo, my real dad, told me to make a maximum of 5,806 posts on vcdhelp.com in one lifetime. So I have.

I agree.
There is a test forum for those who wish to mentally
touch themselves. -
Dont suggest thet offline, we'll end up with a load more funky monkies.
-
I do agree it can be a little crazy sometimes. Maybe if we just ignored post counts it wouldn't be such a big deal to everyone to bump theirs up.
I also think alot of the recent talking about PWing kinda creates an atmosphere where it seems Ok to just go crazy. -
Its bound to die down sooner or later, these things tend to go in cycles.
-
Then perhaps Baldrick would consider removing the post count from under each avatar, and maybe just leave the joined date.
I envsage this might stop some of the games going on.
Just a thought.

Post count and joined date are of no consequence to me when determining a particular user's competence level.
I understand Off Topic to be somewhere you can go to talk shit amongst other things, just like going down to the pub on a Friday night. If this is wrong, then I am sorry for "making" you sift through "worthless" threads.
I consider this to be primarily aimed at me based on the example shown, and I would have appreciated Will PM'ing me to discuss this issue before airing it to the general public. But I guess you don't always get what you want in a public forum. If in doubt, Google it. -

This is a public forum and if you choose to turn the forum into a means to up your post count or impress that small band of 'first to hit one billion' posters you belong to then be prepared to accept the consequences.

I'm sure this will leave me open to suggestion of stalking and that is unfortunate and honestly not the case; you happened to be the one who was hell bent on having his username splashed over every inch of the off-topic forum. Had it been someone else I would have done the same without question; my point was simply to highlight the worrying trend of ridiculous posts.
Take your joke thread for instance...
....why on earth you feel the need to post joke after joke after joke when you could simply edit your first post and make it one long post is beyond me.
My pall fulcriLives once cristised me for sometimes posting a message after another but man, you take it to a whole new level.
Your regulaly post utter rubbish and your participation in the compaints thread is laughable.
No one can post this amount of complaint/feedback and 90% of the time your posts are high school, whiny 'tell-tales' with no real substance.
I really, really, really didn't want to turn this into a personal issue and honestly would have done the same had it been someone else; capmaster, yoda, whoever.
It just so happens that I dislike you immensly, which is unfortunate.
I'll now go back to ignoring everyone of your other posts in a genuine attempt to keep harmony; I'm a nice guy after all (as everyone already knows).
I guess you're not going to like the reading but it's my opinion, I make no apology for it.
Feel free to make a complaint, you know the route.

Not about how someone is in the lead, not about 4th place vs 3rd place. Not about how someone has overtaken the lead. Personally, I don't care... but again, that's my opion.... and I've only been here for a while so feel free to tell me to STFU..... -

Hello,
Will Hay - Thanks for the nod! I like that "deputy Yoda" bit in your status bar.

Maybe, just Maybe, if posts in OT and feedback did not add to the published post count, we would see less of this posting just to up your count and posting just to be 'better' or 'higher' than some one else.
