  1. hi, can someone please help me,

i borrowed 2 copied dvds from my friend recently, however when i try & back up the dvd (using DVD Shrink) onto my HD this message appears...

DVD Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue.
No disc is in the drive
The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.

the dvd works fine on my stand alone dvd player, however it wont play on my computer
i have tried other decrypters, but its still the same.
its as though there is no disc at all in the drive.
    any ideas?

  2. You do have a DVD drive right? Do other DVD's work in the drive?

  3. Why not just use Copy disc in Nero, etc or just drag the VIDEO_TS folder to your HDD?
Have you updated your firmware lately...especially if the disc is DL:

I believe that it is a new form of copy protection.

Duh, if shrink can't do it then it is obviosly a new form of copy protection.

Does your PC have only one drive that reads DVDs? Mosat PCs with DVD burners have two drives, a DVD rom and the burner.
This plan is so bad, it must be one of ours.
