Type O Negative's Origin of the Feces should probably be up here.
A fake live album, The Origin of the Feces, appeared the following year, its notorious cover depicting a pair of spread buttocks (the album was eventually reissued with less graphic artwork).
Great album though.Seriously, Type O rules.

okay, here's a link to the A.P. / A.W. split cd.
scroll down to see the cover, and know that the white sticker * on the cover is just to keep eBay from shutting down his auction for being obscene....- housepig

Completely vile. Reminds me of a jpeg I got titled"beer poop". Probably from a German porn. This guy shakes up a bottle of beer and inserts it in this girls arse. Ass it comes back out he laps at the stream. He gets startled when a log comes out
mind you, he is covered with you know what. Why was he scared

I think being naked on your album covers was trend started by John Lennon & Yoko Ono - and 2 people I wish I'd never seen nude:P

I managed a band that opened for the Village People in 1990.They had a "private" back room that no one could enter

OK - I couldn't find the Grand Funk Railroad Album cover I was thinking of. However, this one came to mind.

so if we conclude that (by it's omission in the [overground] marketplace) that scat may be too hot to handle (obscene), then you wouldn't be able to copyright them. so this label could use them with impunity.
in reality, it's just another in a loooooooooooong line of informally-appropriated imagery in the metal & hardcore tradition. how much imagery is original, and how much is stolen / recontextualized / sampled / parodied?- housepig

Makes me think something like the scene in Bananas when Woody Allen goes into a store and tries to buy a nudie mag....but is embarrassed about buying it. So he tries to be discreet and picks up a bunch of other mags to make it less obvious...then the cashier holds the nudie mag up in front of everyone around Woody Allen and asks one of the co-workers where the pricetag is for it...and keeps drawing more attention to the mag
While Woody is cringing and freaking out
Does anyone remember this Prince album -
