I know why some of you are having problems with your encodes desynching. If you are playing movies that are around 700mb in AVI format and the movies are on 700mb media, you are probably going to get desynch issues due to the burn. Jamming all 700mb of the movie onto 1 disc leaves a lot of room for burn errors, especially towards the end of the burn since the burn speed is always faster.
There are factors to consider here.
Burning slower can help, but my suggestion for those of you having problems is this:
1. make sure you burn SLOW because the FASTER-IS-BETTER theory is just a myth.
2. use DVDR's and burn SLOW. 4x is more than enough and you can fit quite a few movies on 4.7gb discs![]()
I still haven't had a disc with desynch problems whether I used 700mb cdrs or 4.7gb dvdrs. Good luck!
