  1. I've just spent quite a while getting heaps of trailers off my dvds to eventually make a dvdr 'dvd list'. The problem is I've now realized how many dvdrs this trailer list will take up, so would like to shrink each file. For each trailer I only have the '.vob' file, and I've renamed them all.

Anyone got any suggestions on an easy way to do this? If I can batch them it would also save me a lot of time, there's hundreds to do. I was hoping to just put em all in dvdshrink and shrink em at the same % all in one go, but I can't figure out if this can be done with dvdshrink. Cheers.

While I'm asking is there also an easy way to do the same thing but shrink them to pc mpg/mov/avi files so I could use these in my 'DVD Collector' database? What would be the best file to go for for small file size, but good quality?

    Cheers.

Why dont you just Author a DVD with whatever you want on it
even if its too big and then just Shrink that.

Mpeg4 (divx , etc) is supposed to have the highest compression
    I would use Mpeg2 though.

  3. cheers mate, much appreciated.
Can't believe how much time just I spent trying figure what I could do - searching tutorials etc.

So changing to divx isn't really worth it for the trouble it'd take? DVD Collector (v2 beta) opens the vob trailer files anyway, so just use the same shrunk ones from my future dvdr list do you think?

    cheers again FOO
