  1. Is there a prog that can exclude unwanted tracks and/or features in the copy other than IC? IC yields good quality but it is not very stable.
DVDShrink will only replace tracks with still images at a minimum which still take up space. I don't understand why a still image for the "extras" would occupy over 200MB. That's valuable space.

CloneDVD and CloneDVD2 will remove any "extra" that's in a separate VTS. It does of course allow removing any audio or substreams. It does not re-write the ifo files so it's best to keep audio stream #1. I use CloneDVD frequently and it removes extras very well and you will find it blindingly fast compared to IC. Just personal opinion but I think CloneDVD2 has a poor transcoder and CloneDVD does a much better job.
I've A/B'd their output and CloneDVD looks out of focus, very soft compared to CloneDVD.

Please read the guides here (ie. why don't you reauthor (instead of just backing up) the dvd and left everythink out except the main movie w_one audio track).
    Else use Vob Blanker.

  5. I usually like to retain the menus. If DTS is available I include that too.

Vob Blanker + DvdShrink will acomplish what you want, and using Vob Blanker a very simple additional step.

Both free, and DvdShrink has an awesome transcoder, IMO.

DVDShrink replaces the removed content with a still image but it is repeated many times throughout the title. You can overcome this manually if you hack here and there but with the option of other tools then it's not worth bothering

@glassvial, pleased to hear you enjoy success using DVDStripper. I don't know if you know about Menumodder that works with DVDStripper
