    As it says, I was happily able to play the non-finalized DVD+r, and all of a sudden it can't be read. Is there any way to rip or otherwise read the files? Using TDK disks.

    Did you try to write a second session to it ? This may have wiped the first session as far as the disk index is concerned.

    Why would you not finalise the disk ?
