If anyone has tested xvid 1.0 encodes on their Philips DVP 642-17 after the firmware upgrade, please let me know the result. Thanks!

Someone else posted that the XVID 1.0 color distortion problem is easily fixed by hitting the SYSTEM MENU button twice and it works. FANTASTIC STUFF MAN! Thanks to whomever it was that figured this out!

This Method works GREAT to get the Video watchable, but it
screws up the Audio Sync..
Has Anyone expericed this also ? if so whats the cure ?
Thanks ! -
I am running the latest version of the firmware and I am having some issues with getting some of the XviD's to play that the system menu trick doesn't seem to help either, we will just have to wait for newer firmware I guess...

Would you like me to make a sample file for you the new XviD's wont play it just keeps seeking at a weird rate, the display will say something like 0:00, 0:27, 0:43, 2:24, and then it will stop and go to the next file, if you want the numbers verbatim you'll have to give me a day or two.
I hope that I wont see it again
