    Hey guys, I have some video that i want to burn into a vcd,they're all 780mbs... Is there a special type of disk i need to buy to burn them.. Do i need to shrink them or something? Whats the deal? I see that ffmpeg splits things on vcd mode to 780mb and im not sure why.

  2. You can store 780MB in any 700MB disk when you burn it as VCD.

    Ok, thanks alot major that works..
    Now i ran into another problem.. The video turns out to Be in PAL Frame rate.. which won't work on my dvd player of course.. (Me being america based). I tryed Fast VCD in ffmpeg to convert my video from PAL to NTSC and it failed right away. Do i need to do that? Or is there a PAL to NTSC converter out there. :\ Is there no way to do this in ffmpeg? Here's what ffmpeg progress told me :

    Encoding started on Wed Aug 25 00:47:40 EDT 2004
    usage: movtoy4m -w width -h height -F a:b -a a:b [-s] [-f] [-o ppm/y4m] movie.mov
    example: movtoy4m -w 352 -h 288 -F 25:1 -a 4:3 pal_normal.mov
    example: movtoy4m -w 352 -h 240 -F 30000:1001 -a 16:9 ntsc_wide.mov
    pipe:: Error while opening file

    Thx alot, Cheers!

  4. Try again but this time disable the option "Decode with Quicktime" in the Options tab.
