how can I break done a MP3 file to edit tracks and remove

I converted my entire DVD video using smart ripper and then I used the AC3 tool and changed it too MP3 but the file is not broken down by songs or anything so I have a bunch of stuff in the file that I do not need and so it is to big to fit on a sigle CD.

what do I use to edit the MP3/MP4 file to fit?

I have NEro 6.XX BTW

Audacity is quite a good free tool that will allow you to do the mp3 editing. Another one that may suit your purpose is BeSplit.

gentlejax: I assume your car CD player plays MP3s? If you were trying to create regular audio CDs, there are other methods.
