  1. HI everyone!

    I read at this forum that is possible to do

    WAV TO AC3 with SOUND FORGE 7.O

    some good soul would tell me how, please?

    i dont found this option at "save as" dialog like .mp3, .ogg and others.

    Not unless something new happened, SOUNDFORGE does not do AC3.

    Just a clarification. Lordsmurf is right that Soundforge does not do AC3 by itself, but if you have the Vegas + DVD production suite or the ACID AC3 encoder installed, Soundforge can access the encoder and you will have a Save as... *.AC3 option. That's what I do.

    As for ffmpeg, I never tried it, but I read many posts of people having problems with it because its AC3 stream is not entirely compliant. I never had problems with the Sonic Foundry/Sony encoder.

    True about the probs with ffmpeg AC3 - some Pioneer players has problems with it. Never seen it myself on my own or any of the other players I've tried my ffmpeg AC3 DVD creations on...
