What a boring bunch of nothing!! Makes me glad to see a lot of people feel the same way, judging by the empty seats in the stands.

  3. I watched about 5 mins over the weekend. I just wanted to see if the news broadcasts were correct in that no one is there but the athletes. Yep they were right.....More empty seats compared to filled seats BY FAR!!

I've been watching the women's events only. Something about fit and athletic in their prime that turns me on. The fact that there's a lot of exotic foreigners just peaks my interest even more.

I think Greece blew it with this Olympics (sorry Satstorm ). I did watch the Iraq - Costa Rica soccer ..OK, football game And over the weekend my wife had the equestrian events on (one of her favorites being a rider herself). That's about it, though. I heard Australia was doing well in the swimming events. I heard it's because of all the sharks

  7. I've watched it every now and then, not as much as when it was on in 2000 though.

And yes, Australia is kicking arse in the swimming. Phelps has got no chance. :P

  8. Judging from this I'd say no. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main.jhtml?xml=/news/2004/08/16/wolymp16.xml&sSheet=/p.../ixportal.html

I know I'm not. Thank God for cable TV!

    Free seats

I wonder just how much of it is because the Greek Olympic Committee, and how much is because of security concerns.

  11. I been watching mostly womens BeachBasketball, very entertaining, but would be boring if it wasnt for the bodies. Trap finals was good, and airgun was ok. Not much fun with summer olympics anyway, i like the winter games much more.
Edit: i kinda knew it should be beach volleyball, that should be enough to prove that im not looking at the game =)

Swimming, Gymnatics and Track & Field (when it starts). Oh yeah, USA Basketball. Got BLOW OUT by Puerto Rico is game 1 and squeezed by Greece in game 2. It'd be a miracle if we even metal this time ... but it's much more exciting to watch than in the past.

But watching half clothed women is OK. Not watching much because the SD broadcast really sucks where I am. Can't receive the ATSC which should be much more revealing. Also of note, there seems to be an odd framerate conversion happening to get down to SD. Alos a lot of mpeg artifacts coming through in the SD portion. A few other glitches, but mostly during gymnastics with glitches in the wireless cameras and the ever present color differences between the regular camers, and the super slowmo cameras.

Womens beach volleyball!! Very fun to watch. Plus i find myself watching some of the events just out of patriotism alone.

What's the point when I can pop in a DVD and watch no clothed women work the pole vault?

  24. There was an article in the Evening Standard last night about her. Apparently loads of people are complaining because she looks too good and has not been wearing a bra.

That is a big plus in my books.

  27. In between episodes of Sponge Bob and Fairly Odd Parents we are trying to convince the kids that what they watching 'is historic' .... they could give a crap.

Saw ladies beach volleyball last night... something is wrong having it indoors (but the ladies still have their bikinis and sunglasses on :P )

  28. I remember that one where that diver bashed his head on the diving board. Which one was that Barcelona '92?

Greg Louganis. Not sure of the year. He had AIDS at the time and hadn't told anyone. It kinda pissed off the doctor who treated his head when he found out later
