She use to be a Swimmer but is now retired and working for the BBC. So unless you are in the UK, I guess you wont see her.

As many have mentioned, the womens beach volleyball is well worth watching! Gymnastics however....remember, most of those girls are like 15 years old! There are a couple on their 20's, and that's pretty cool imagining what kind of positions they could get into.

If you need to wilt your willey, watch the women weightlifters!

I just want to raspberry between her boobs and feel her legs closing tight around my head as I muff dive, letting my tongue go for a swim in her canal. I've only been watching the womens events. The best part is having that special someone reinact the women's gymnastics moves in your bedroom.

  17. I can't wait for this shit to finish. Its the televising of events that really do not need televising - I mean the Javelin, lets call it like it is; a bloke chucking a stick. Same with the crap like long jump, hammer, syncronised diving for fucks sake. There's a reason this shit's only on every 4 years - if it was on every weekend nobody would ******* watch.

To top it all off we get days of that sobbing dipsy bitch because she got tired and hot - aw didums - grow up and do something constructive instead of just running around with your stupid wobbly head. And whats with this horsey stuff in there now ? all this ******* equestrian shit - utter shite, just like that ******* sailing - whats that but a bunch off toffs bobbing about in the water ?! ******* sport ? you must be joking.

really that is silly. Greece did an fantastic job of organizing the entire thing, despite the constant bad publicity. the Olympics have been, like major sport generally, all about commercialization and nationalism. The opening ceremonies really put that aside and really were probably the best international event in decade.

As far as the empty seats at some events, I was in Barcelona and there were a huge number of empty sets. Spain has 5 times the population and sold less tickets than the Greeks did! In Sydney they gave away many many seats.

here is a good piece in san jose mercury news:

Ann Killion | To the people of Greece: We apologize

    By ANN KILLION

    San Jose Mercury News

ATHENS - The Greeks could sue for defamation of character. They could demand an apology from the world. Instead they just shrug and order another frappe.

Their Olympics are going beautifully. Just like they expected. After all, they invented this business.

For years, we heard how miserable these Olympics would be, how dangerous, how choked with traffic, how polluted, how unfinished. After just a couple of days, some observers turned in an instant thumbs-down on the Games. No atmosphere. No crowds. The horror – gymnastics wasn't even sold out!

Such rips are ridiculous. For one thing, you can't judge the Olympics until they start. And, in reality, the Athens Games didn't start until Friday, when track and field got under way.

Olympic atmosphere comes from 160,000 people streaming into the park every day. And that can only happen when track starts. Until then, the Olympic park seems deserted even with 30,000 people inside it.

Saturday night, the upper bowl of Olympic Stadium was filled with rippling blue and white Greek flags and fans cheering for runners and discus throwers. The roar of the crowd rose into the Athens night. You couldn't convince anyone there that these Games have no atmosphere.

I watched about an hour of the olympics total, several events on different days... and I liked it! I got a chance to see sports I would not normally see every day. Too many ads on NBC though.

There was an article in one of the seattle newspapers about how the Canadian coverage on CBC of the olympics is much better than the american coverage. and I may be slightly biased, but i'd have to agree with the article.

As for watching the olympics, i've been watching more now that Canada has won a few medals.

The USA women's soccer did very well, considering that's not a major sport over here.

I didn't say they weren't damn good ...just that it's a surprise that we could field a world-class soccer team. Kinda like the 1980 winter olympics when we beat Russia for the Gold in men's hockey

I consider the "major" sports here as Baseball, Football, Basketball and Hockey.

"Significant" sports - soccer, softball, bowling, golf, so-called "wrestling", gymnastics, swimming.

"Minor" = Bass fishing, dwarf tossing, hurling, arm wrestling, thumb wrestling, billiards and pool, curling, strong-man (lumberjack), etc.

The difference between categories is not the loyalty of the fans, but the amount of coverage allowed on the main TV channels ...not ESPN, who televises everything including nose-hair growing, and extreme banking

    What went wrong?
    You're a ******* useless, whinging bitch, that's what's wrong.
    Bitch.
Love the track and field though
