Hi,
Which format should I select in Toast 6 to burn a high-definition Windows Media 9 movie to? There seem to be a variety of choices, from ISO-9660 to a Mac / Windows Hybrid. Btw, I have tried those two and both resulted in poor playback (jerky and inability to scan through points in the movie; it would only play straight through from the beginning).
Why am I posting about WMV9 in a Mac forum? Well, I do all my burning, editing, and disc prep on a Mac and playback on a PC.![]()

Doesn't really matter at this point, since there are no players capable of playing the things. I'd just use UDF or Mac/Windows Hybrid. Stay away from 9660.
I like systems, their application excepted. (George Sand, translated from French), "J'aime beaucoup les systèmes, le cas d'application excepté." -
My guess too is the jerky playback is from an extremely high bitrate on a slow processor? My TiBook G4 667 will not play back MPEG4 content encoded for "high definition" smoothly ... but my G5 at work will.

Oh, and be sure to burn onto high quality DVD-R media, as low quality media will be read more slowly as certain drives struggle to read from it. I've had best luck with Ritek/RiData media, though for best results (and highest prices) get Taiyo Yuden media.
