LOL.. hey guys I need 500 dvd's and cases and been doing some shopping.. here is what I found.. if you experts could give me a good choice I would be grateful.. Rima seems to be better on Media and Meritline is great on cases, I have never ordered cases from meritline before, has anyone here? And the prodiscs vs. Ritek G04. ... what ya say? Is it really peanuts? Or are both great media, as far as the media code gods think?
TIA guys.

I would not take 500 free RITEKs. Waste of time.
Too many bad burns, I hate wasted time.
All my PRODISC coaster choke at burn.
I hate finding out AFTER the burn. I'd rather know right away.Want my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

All my PRODISC coaster choke at burn.
coaster choke? So I should go with Prodiscs?
Thanks again. -
Yeah, I think that's what Lordsmurf meant.
I myself burned a lot of Prodiscs too and they seem to work just fine. With Ritek, I got a bad batch once that had a lot of bad discs that you could spot before you put them in the burners.
Rima is a good place to buy from, I also recommend you to check out supermediastore.com as they have free shipping on the DVD cases. The only thing I don't like about supermediastore is their packaging method, (or their affiliates') I ordered 2000 DVD cases and about half the boxes broke when getting to my place, and cracked about 20+ cases and I'm pretty sure the UPS people didn't like it muchya know, putting about 1000 DVD cases back into the boxes and taping them. Make sure to tell them about that so they'll double tape the boxes. But other than that, shipping was decent, quality good so I don't complain.

PRODISC seem to have "2" ... when coaster existsWant my help? Ask here! (not via PM!)

I would also go with prodisc any day. I recently ordered a 50 pack of ritek just to try it out and since I do a lot of weddings, I gave the disc to the client to preview. They came back and told me that the video was choppy. I burnt the same video on one of the Prodisc discs and I haven't heard back from them YET

There might have been a bad batch of Ritek but I believe most of the negative "reports" are really just hardware/user problems or people repeating what they've read.
I'm just hoping that the move many are making towards Prodisc will decrease the price of Riteks further. Fifty cents each for a quality disc is still fine by me though. IME, nothing burns better in a Pioneer 106/107 (except maybe MCC).

Where do you get the media code from? I have a pack of Prodiscs I got from Rima 3 weeks or so ago. The plastic on the outside is blue not clear like all the others were. If the code comes from a burner I don't have one right this second, but the GSA-4120B is supposed to be delivered today. -
Yes, hating RITEK and praising PRODISC is for financial gain... I'm better off by not spending money on coasters. As far as what you buy, I really don't care. I share my experience, and others can listen or not. Doesn't bother me either way.
