I've successfully converted several dvds to vcd with win98. I upgraded to XP and it crashes everytime I start a conversion. I've formatted and installed a clean copy of XP but its still the same problem. I'm pretty sure the audio conversion is the culprit. I converted the video to divx using tmpenc without a problem. I've mainly been trying to use dvd2avi. Could this be a hardware problem? I'm contemplating buying a new sound card but I figured I'd ask for some help first.
