www.zip.ca -- have any of my fellow Canadian's tried this place yet? How is it working out for you? Where do you live in relation to their warehouse; how long does it take to get your DVD's? What shape are the disc's in that you get (scratched, dusty, covered in fingerprints, etc)?
I just signed up for a two-week free trial today. I've added about 20 DVD's to my ZipList, and all show as being available. I'm in Calgary, and I guess they're somewhere in Ontario (what isn't)? Lets see what happens...

Being that it is in Canada and I'm in the U.S. I don't really know what the heck that place is, let alone heard of it. While that may not be all that surprising, I can look at the site and find out for myself. But for those of you who have some sort of block because you're at work, or something, and may not be able to see the site, this is what I've found - It's Canada's answer to Netflix, but I thought Netflix was in Canada too, and cheaper.

I logged in to Zip this morning and low and behold, they say they've shipped two of my DVD's on my list:
They're estimating the 16th (Monday) for delivery... lets see how quick they get here. -
Ottawa, ON K1G 6T9 is where they are located ... looks interisting except that canada post can be slow as snails ..
i will give them a try for sure ..
edit: you are allowed 4 at a time , so in effect you can rent about 12 a month max. , based on 5 day turnaround ..

Ooh, now they're showing 4 DVD's (the maximum I can have at one time) on their way to me... All estimated to arrive Monday...

Doramius is just jealous he is not allowed to live here :P
maybe we will ship a little more water or electricity south to help them out (or maybe not)
and the dogsled delivery is not that bad if they can find the right igloo"Each problem that I solved became a rule which served afterwards to solve other problems." - Rene Descartes (1596-1650) -

Hmm, I just noticed that the return envelopes go to Edmonton, not Ottawa. Maybe they have a distribution warehouse up there? 2-day turnaround would be pretty cool

typically Canada post would send that to Moncton, Halifax or Mississauga first for routing - then to drop city ...
