  1. Hey guys I got a PS2 and have since fallen in love with DVD's but anyways I have an all in wonder card which allows me to capture video, tv tuner, and video output to a TV, verry nifty for chattng on the couch,

    anyways anyways

I tried connecting the Ps2 to the PC. the games play pretty sweetly with the computer monitor and such. but when i tried to play a DVD les say "the wedding planner" SHUT UP i know i know ANYWAYS

i get REALY bad distortion and it looks like im watching the DVD movie on VHS tape. Im thinking its a Protection thing rite? is there a way for it to play nice and neetly through the pc when the ps2 is connected? thanx

U are seeing the anti-copy system "Macrovision"

It distorts the sync of video leaving dvd players.

  5. macrovision, a word that once really meant a whole lot but not too hard to get around now adays. the easiest way for you to get around it for your application, if you can use the rca's, may be to run the ps2 through a video clarifier then to the capture card or device. works good for making your legal first generation copies from dvd to vcr or vcr to vcr so go figure.
