tmpgenc dvd author problems

hi,

i have just started using dvd author 1.6 (pegasys) and run into a problems. once i have built my menu and imported my video files i click begin ouput (or what ever the compile button is called), instead of outputting two complete folders (t_video, t_audio) to burn onto my dvd it outputs two empty folders.

i have also installed dvd author 1.5 to see if that gave me better results but it just knida did the same. does anybody know why this might be? cheers

Can you be more specific?

How long does it take to "Author"? Are you getting any error messages? Does it go to the DVD Writing Tool after it finishes authoring?

It sounds to me like your erroring out during the authoring process.

hi,

i have never used the software before so im not too sure how it normally goes through its thing.

as soon as i click the button it just simply outputs two folders with nothing in them then thats it, acts as though its finished processing. it just outputs the folders instantly. it doesnt display any errors or show any kind of status bar or anything. once it finishes it just sits idle, it doesnt open the dvd writer tool or anything.

You are using a pirated copy. This is exactly what happens.

I was using TDA 1.5 for the longest time, then it suddenly stopped working. Seems my (ex) assistant installed a BT copy of 1.6 on my machine (along with BT) without my knowledge. Only after realizing that it had the dual layer option did I find out. After confronting him, he "fixes" it by re-installing 1.5. Turns out that he installed yet another BT copy, instead of my official copy, hence the ex part. upon uninstalling both version, then re-installing the legal version, it went back to working perfect.

I was a little behind on the updates, otherwise I would havebeen able to tell the idiot about the free upgrade
