  1. Does Taiyo Yuden make any 8cm DVD-R disks? If so, anyone know where these can be purchased?

If not - I am looking for some high quality 8cm DVD-R disks for a Hitachi DVD camcorder - so far the only quality disks I have found are the Maxells - but they are about $5 each. I found a couple cheapo 8cm disks around, but the camcorder liked choking on the disks.

    Thanks,

    E

I suggest a search of a vendor website like Rima.com or Meritline.com. Then go to www.nomorecoasters.com and read Lordsmurf's excellent evaluations of the various media types

  3. To my knowledge, Taiyo Yuden does not manufacture or license 8cm DVDs, and they don't list them on their websites.

If they did, I would stock them.

  4. Ok, thanks for the info - that's what I thought. I havent been able to find any mini TY's - I was hoping they had some - the non-maxell mini's I've tried so far have been unreliable.

Has anyone used any reliable mini-dvd's ?

Last I looked, RITEK was the only maker of mini-DVDs.

  7. I have to find any reaonable priced Japan 8cm disks in the US.

The $1 a disk media I have bought from 2 different outlets have been no media code 1X crap.

    Hopefully something shows up.
