uninstalling ulead videostudio version 5.0

hi,

my son installed the ulead software that came with the firewire card without my consent. to make a long story short, i didn't want it installed since i already have magix movie edit pro installed as my editing software. i tried to uninstall it by going to start=>control panel=>add/remove program, but rather instead of having 'add/remove' button it has 'change'. i click on it and the install wizard came on. i just canceled it from there. i tried another uninstaller program by systemsuite but instead it has a lock denoting it is protected by the Window installer. thx in advance...

can you just do a roll back ?

might be easiest - since also ulead can fubar (in some cases ) your registry un-installing it ..

Chances are you can uninstall it using the change feature. A majority of the time it will ask you which features you have installed, if you uncheck them all they will ask you if you want to completely uninstall it, from there you know what goes. Also, if there is no installer the manufacturer probably has uninstallation instructions on their website.

you're right! i went ahead and click 'change'. the ulead logo popped up as if i'm installing it again, but then the option that was given was 'uninstall'. thx. i did email support after searching their website since i didn't find any, but as of present, they haven't responded yet...
