I have tried a few different bitrate calculators and none of them are quite what I am looking for. I don't thing there is one that is what I am looking for, but I figured I'd ask. Is there a bitrate calculator for vcd that you can enter the number of frames and the framerate and it gives you the bitrate? All the ones I tried, you enter the time and it gives you the bitrate. There were a few that I converted to vcd that were 23.976 fps and the rest were 29.97 fps. Just out of curiosity, I had 2 clips exactly the same, except 1 was 23.976 fps and the other was 29.97 fps. I converted them both with the same bitrate, at the same framerate that they were originally (the one that was 23.976 fps I converted to vcd at 23.976 fps and the other that was 29.97 fps I converted at 29.97 fps) and the one with the framerate of 23.976 was smaller in size. I want to try to put what I am converting on a full 700MB cd and not leave any blank space if possible.

total frames / fps = total seconds, convert that to hh:mms and away you go.

Framerate does not affect the file size, only the running time and the bitrate,
ie total time X Kbps = total kbits.

You get more bits-per-frame at 23.976 (about 20%) hence better quality.

BTW, you can fit 800 MB on an 80 min CD when you burn it as a VCD b/c there is no error correction used.

    Hope that helps a bit.
