In TMPGEnc DVD Author, when I add multiple video clips on the same track there is a short delay (or freeze) between these clips when I play the authored video. Is there anyway to control this delay or freeze. I want to play these video clips back to back without any delay between them.

I know in other authoring programs (e.g., VCDEasy, Dazzle DVD Author) you have control over this.

Huh? ... I'm not talking about the authoring ... I'm talking about when the authored DVD is played in my settop player.

    BTW, I'm running a P4 2.6-GHz (800-MHz FSB) w/1024-MB of Dual Channel PC3200 RAM.

  4. The pause is normal on a standalone because the play between clips in non-seamless. I don't know TDA is details but I don't think it supports seamless play between clips on the same track.

If your clips are encoded at the same bitrate and same type (CBR or VBR) and you have no audio gaps, you can change the play to seamless with Ifoedit (you also need to make sure the clips are sequential). Burn to RW first though to verify that your player doesn't "choke" on the seamless transition.

  5. As far as I am concerned there will always be a slight pause. In my experience it is only like a dvd changing layers.

    Is yours much longer?

I don't see any options for this in TDA. I know other authoring program let you do this because I've done it in the past with them. I just can't remember which ones (e.g., Ulead DVDAuthor, Dazzle DVD Complete, VCDEasy).

Hadn't thought about using Ifoedit. Good suggestion, I'll give it a try.

Does this happen on pressed DVD-9s? I've never noticed this before with the possible exception of Miracle. I did notice a slight freeze of a second or two midway throught the movie. I thought is might be something wrong with the disk or even the authored movie.
