hey, ive got this dvd/vcr combo unit and i have some pal files i want to burn, im having major problems converting them to ntsc so im curious as to wether or not this player will play PAL vcd/svcd/dvd etc. ive checked the compatibility, but it doesnt say about the ntsc or pal?

The easiest way to convert between the two systems is via a DVD Player that actually "converts". It just so happens the cheap-ee ones are the ones that do this most often....NOT the big brand names.
It's going to be pretty hard to find a DVD Recorder that will convert one system to another while recording. And the VCR's that do a true convert are still quite expensive and quite hard to come by:
