  1. Is there anyway to lower the CD print setting on the Epson R200? I see it uses the highest possible setting. I was just wondering is there is any way to set it to print with a lower setting like text/image?

  2. When you get ready tp print the cd/dvd, there is a window that pops up, with a slider control.

  3. Thanks but that seems to only control how dark or light it prints. It doesn't seem to change to a lower or higher quality.

Hit the print icon, go to printer settings then properties.

  5. If you go in there and select advanced, you will see that it only allows "Best Photo" as a print option despite what it shows on the basic screen.

Hmm, didn't know that Change the media type to premium glossy photo paper then you'll get 3 choices - photo, best photo and photo rpm.

Don't go into advanced, choose basic.
Select text or text/image and it will print at those settings.

I found this out the hard way. I printed a CD and it looked all washed out (black colors) and then I realized I had it set to text. Printed another one at my usual photo settings and there was a huge difference.

yes, InkSaver v2.0. It may ot may not work with your particular printer. check their site. lowers ink usage, but NOT the quality.

My experience /~1500 discs printed on both R200 and 300/ shows ther's actually no difference /at least not noticeable for me/ between Photo and Best Photo. By the way when you open the CD/DVD tray the printer goes automatically to CD/DVD print mode and nothing seems to affect the quality anymore.
One other thing you can do is double click on the picture before you print choose Image Adjustment and try to play with those settings.

    Enjoy!

  10. My main interest is to save a little more ink and to speed up printing.
I'll try what stiltman said. It sounds like it will save ink and speed up the printing.
