  1. I've Downloaded a few movies ripped from DVD to AVI. Filesize is about 700 meg and the quality is great. I've done some ripps to AVI myself but I never get that quality if i'm going to stay below 700meg. I usally do it by smartripper and then Flaskmpeg. Low motion and a bitrate of 1500-2000. This will look great but filesize comes to about 1,5 gig. All the movies I've downloaded is in low-motion codec. Is there any way to see what bitrate a downloaded AVI-file is done in?

    Any tips????

  2. the problem is that the sound is in PCM. I had the same problem when i started. Compress the sound to MP3 and you should fit the avi into 700meg. Try virtual dub from http://www.virtualdub.com . Open your avi in it from sound menu select full processing and select compression from the same menu. Select the mp3 codec and from file menu choose save as avi.

  3. The Audio is in MP3. Usually I use about 96kbits/s to keep it in stereo.
