If i don't want no stinkin auto slide show, don't need no schmancy transistions, only want to control slide change with the remote of a stand-alone dvd player --
Need to hold the slide until I choose the next slide.
What do I use? Seems retro, a little, so I don't see it mentioned anywhere.

I use dvd Lab. It has occured to me that I could put each slide in a separate menu. I think that would limit number of slides, and ease of selecting.

Any elegant solutions to a very simple need?

    Thanks,
    Patrick

Two I can think of. Windows XP has a folder option that lets you display picture when you want.

Ulead Photo Explorer 6.0 Preferences advanced option lets you select manual advance for its slide show.

    thanks.
Can you use Photo Explorer to make a dvd or cd that will allow manual advance on a stand alone dvd player?

Soryy, I misunderstood. My DVD has a slide show creator as well. Remember to Settings and declick the Duration option. Use the Chapter button to advance and go back (>>| |<<).

    thanks for the the replies.

I don't have My DVD but i tried a few setting in DVD lab and seem to be stuck with setting the per/slide time at 1 min. which gives me plenty time to pause, and then select "next" when I want to move on.
I also tried a per-slide time of "0" and "delete" but don't have the infinity key!

This works, just not what I wanted exactly.
May try the My DVD solution one day, but would really like a tryout version.

I started tinkering with VCDEasy and made a CD-RW slide show as well. I advanced with the chapter button too.
