Does anybody know how to actually download Quicktime 5.0.2 movies to their hard drive? I configured QT to save the online movie to the HD cache, but I can't copy/move/rename the ".tmp" file. I tried changing it's properties to Read Only and removing delete permissions (w2k/ntfs), but the instant I close the browser it still deletes it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

go to the webpage and do a RIGHT CLICK View Source and look for the URL of the .mov or .qt file
put that URL in a download manager or simply post it here on this board and RIGHT click on it and Save AS -
sometimes they dont put the entire URL in the source.
go to kazaa and get a quicktime pro crack. then you will be able to just right click your movie and select save as...

You dont need a crack for some movies, I was at apple and the trailers for, not another teen movie, jasonx, musketeer, black knight and other will be saved by letting the movie download then right click on the video display you should have the options of save as source or save as quicktime movie, either will work but I prefer the save as quicktime movie. Now some movies it wont work for, like the Count of monte cristo.
But I wish you all the luck in the world, Happy downloading
