  4. Burning a full 4.7 GB DVD+/-R at 1x should only take about 25 minutes at 1x...

    Wow- it takes almost 30 minutes to burn a full DVD-R at 2X. Guess I should start burning at 1X and save 5 minutes per disk.

    Huh? I have a 1x writer, it's always taken me an about an hour to write a full DVD...

    1X = 1385 kb/s = 1.35 Mb/s

    4300Mb / 1.35 Mb/s = 3185s

    3185s / 60 = 53 min + close disc ~3mins = just under one hour

  7. 1x = 1 hour
    2x = 30 minutes
    2.4x = 25 minutes
    4x = 15 minutes

    and so on. 25 minutes at 1x is completely false, unless you are only filling the disc to about half capacity.

  8. Whoops, I guess I should check my settings... I thought that I had CloneDVD burning my DVD Shrink images at 1x... Maybe I need my eyes checked.

    The problem appears to be that your burners' media table sees them as 1X. Look at website,new firmware may have updated media table.
