I have been using svcd2dvd for about amonth, everything seems great but on alot of players, even ones that played the original 2 disk s/vcd version, they run for about a second or two and have some green lines andblotchyness. What am I doing wrong? Also it only burns a small amount of the disk. I know that its only 1.5 gigs out of 4.3/7 but i thought movie file<s> got larger when they were converted.

    Any help would be appreciated

  2. The program authors a non-standard DVD so some players are not going to be compatable with the output.
As far as the movie files, the audio should be the only thing converted. The video stream is left "as is" so the video stays about the same total size after remuxing.

  4. Start with the conversion guides listed to the left. One example is here:

    https://www.videohelp.com/forum/userguides/171216.php

Bea aware that further coversion of your source video will degrade the quality.

Once you have a DVD compliant video structure, start reading the authoring guides at left.

Further questions can be answered better if posted in the appropriate forums for video conversion and DVD authoring.

  5. Wish SVCD2VCD was more DVD compatible friendly.

Is SVSCD2DVD Version 2 going to be better on this issue?

espn, i figured out a way. It seems if i run dvd2svcd first, it makes the dvd folders audio and video but also makes (let's say a 2 .bin TS is used) 2 mpgs with the word DVD in them.

If i run tmpgenc on them it will convert the video to the correct dvd format, this is a pain the the butt and does ad a few hours to the job, plus triples the time it takes to burn a dvd (because it also makes it alot bigger).

all of the movies i have made this way have worked on evreything from my grandmothers old player to xbox and ps2 (xbox worked with the old svcd2dvd fakeout)

Also i am planning on making a dvd duplicator, looks like its gonna cost around 500 for a 1-5.

is this a decent price? am i correct in assuming that i need an acard or like controller, a dvd-rom, 5 dvd-r's , a case, a power supply and some cables thats it!?
