Please please please can anyone tell me if there is a hardware, remote or firmware hack to make this player multi-region...... I have also see this player refered to as the Aries Value DV-512

This player does not exist in the player listing within this site, either under this name or the aries brand name.

This hack does not work, all it does is shows the region code the machine is, it doesnt allow you to change it.

Been playing around with this player hack and found the way to change region code.
#
HERE IT IS

1. Press the Open button on your remote control to open the drive tray
2. Press the Setup button on your remote control
3. Select the Preference page using your remote control
4. Press the 1 button on your remote control
5. Press the 3 button on your remote control
6. Press the 7 button on your remote control
7. Press the 9 button on your remote control
8. Use the navigation buttons to change the region code. (not the number keys) up and down keys will change the region, 0 for region free.
9. Press the Play button on your remote control

This way is nearly identicle to the above mentioned link, but for part 8

hope this helps people.
