  1. I'm trying to install the binaries to v0.0.9m of ffmpegX, and everytime I try to do so, after lining everything up I get an error saying:
    "##dyld: /Applications/ffmpegX.app/Contents/Resources/gnutar can't open library: /usr/lib/libiconv.2.dylib (No such file or directory, errno = 2)"
An app error? Should I reinstall?

  2. That missing file is part of OSX 10.3 or later. Are you running it?

  3. No, I'm running 10.2.8
    Bummer

  4. Oh, duh. should have read the fine print.

  5. Supposedly, version 0.9k is the newest one that OS X 10.2.8 folks can use. I still get the same error when I try to install. Can't find that gnutar..

  6. http://homepage.mac.com/major4/download.html

"If you use OS X 10.2, you should install the older version ffmpegX 0.0.9k (Jun 13, 2004). If you get an error message "missing gnutar", install version 0.0.9h then switch to version 0.0.9k."
