  1. I have another post about burning SVCDs which could be related (www.dvdrhelp.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?topic=66102&forum=1), but here's the problem.

I go to burn a 774 meg (1 hour 15 minutes) MPG to VCD.
In Nero, it won't even begin to burn and I get these errors:
    SCSI/ATAPI Timeout Error
    Invalid writestate
    Could not perform EndTrack
    Invalid field in command
    Could not perform Fixation

In Easy Cd 5, it just tells me there's not enough room on the disc. So I tried to make an image of it and burn, as advised, but what's the use of an image if the VCD Creator doesn't recognize it? It's a data file.

Edit: Forgot to note I tried to use an 80 min cd, which should hold 800 megs, VCD wise, but no-go on that either (using EZ).

  2. have you tried a copy of nero yet as this gets around that little prob that easycd creator seems to have making a compliant vcd, get a copy and a patch from cdrsoft.net. I hope this will solve your problem for you.

    Kev!

  3. Actually, you are very close to the solution with the software you have right now. Yes, Sleazy CD Creator does indeed have problems with long VCDs. As you have already done, make an image file using VCD Creator. This will yield a .cif file if I recall correctly. Then, close VCD Creator and open the data CD Creator. Burn the .cif you created with VCD Creator. Don't get hung up with differences of data or video. An image is an image is an image. It works, I've done it quite often.
