  1. I am trying to play (and encode) an mpeg4 movie with ffmpegX. It will play with sound using the old k-version of ffmpegX (but not encode), but the latest two versions (l, m) will not find a sound codec. ffmegX gives the following
AUDIO information: 0x6134706d 32000Hz stereo. Anyone know what the problem is??

    >>> Did the old version recognize the audio codec with its name?

    >> If you mean the info presented at the top line, it says the same, i.e.
    >> AUDIO: 0x6134706d 32000Hz stereo

    > OK so no more information appear in the old version..
    > can you open it in quicktime and get more info?

    >> pressing the info button will not give any result in old or new versions.
    >> Another thing that differ is that when I shut down the mplayer window showing
    >> the movie it will give a crash report in the new version "The application
    >> mplayer has unexpectedly quit ..." but not in the old.

    > never close the mplayer window by clicking the red circle
    > use the RETURN key instead

  5. No I cannot open it in quicktime, there is some mpeg4 stuff quicktime
says it doesn't handle. Thats why I wanted to convert it using ffmpegX in the first place, but I get nowhere. I even tried some windows mediaplayers with no luck.

  6. I have same problem with MPEG-4 sound.
Seems new version of FfmpegX have problem with this sound format.
