I'm trying to split each of the first 5 Band of Brothers DVDs (each has two episodes, coming to 10 total) to one DVD+R each. The first method I tried was just trying to unselect the title I didn't want using InstantCopy ... but it seems that it will let me have all or nothing.
So I used this tutorial for IFOedit, which then allowed me to select one or the other title in InstantCopy. The first episode from each original DVD comes out just fine (1, 3, 5, etc) ... but everytime I try to do the second episode on a disc (2, 4, 6, etc) my DVD player (PC or standalone) won't start the movie on the menu...but it will go to the menu if I press the menu button.
What am I doing wrong on these second discs?

Use DVD Shrink 3.2 it will solve your problem there are plenty of user guides on the web.

Please explain how DVD Shrink will solve my problem...because I know very well it won't - in fact it solves few problems which is why I enjoy avoiding it.
I need to split video ... not remove audio/subtitles...
And I don't want to lose the menu so I can't reauthor -
you could use vob blanker, and just select one episode at a time. This program works quite well, you might not have to use any programs to
shrink it any further. I personally used dvd2one and just made the entire
disc fit onto a dvdr, you honestly can't see that much of a difference and I am viewing it on a 65 inch tv
