  1. Ever since I installed the latest TMPGEnc upgrade, 1.5.26.73, I've gone from flawless burning to coaster after coaster. Here's the error message I get:

"An error occured during the writing process. Possible causes are below.
    1. The computer had to perform an heavy task such as software launch or user change."

This when no other processes - as far as I can tell - are running.

The only application running is TMPGEnc. Even if I disable McAfee and unplug the cable internet connection just to be on the safe side, if I leave TMPEnc to burn a DVD inevitably I'll come back and find that it's stopped at 30 or 52 or 73%, with the above error.

I can't figure out what might be shutting it down... no software is being launched and no users are being changed.

    Any ideas?

  2. My suggestion:

When the Writing Tool opens in TDA, select "Create ISO Image" rather than "Write DVD" and then burn with DVDDecrypter.

Ever since I upgraded to 1.5.26.73, I get a dialog box, after the burn is complete, that just says "Writing". There's clearly something wrong because the writing tool has finished when that box appears.

Now, otherwise the TDA burns seem to be okay but I suspect something else might be awry because that's kind of a weird message to receive after the burn is finished. I've written Pegasys support but their response was, well, non-responsive; it failed to even remotely address the issue.

I tried using TDA to burn ONCE. Not sure what the problem is , but
if you look at your computer funny while it's burning , it crashes.
    Never again.

  4. Tag - Tried that, but I have never been able to get TDA to burn an ISO file. It always stalls or or otherwise freaks out before the job is done.

Burn the ISO with DVDDECRYPTER not TDA

  6. I have installed the upgrade and am having no problems.

Fill in you profile so we can know a little more about your system.

Bad installs are usually the cause of this kind of problem.

Of course you saved an image of your system before attempting an upgrade. So just restore the image. (Norton Ghost is a good choice.)

But if you didnt then try uninstalling TMPEGenc. Delete the directory that it installed into. Run a program such as REGCLEAN. Defrag your hard drive.
Run a comprehensive memory test program. Turn off your AV SW and any other apps (enditall is a good program to use). Then re-instaal TMPEGenc and the upgrade.

If this doesnt help then more info is needed.
