Hi,
I have a VCD film which I have tried to transfer to Video tape and all I get is a B+W picture, but with good sound.
The video is connected via scart to my Philips DVD player.
Is this something to do with NTSC/PAL?
I am new to this and hope there is a simple solution for getting this transfered.
Many thanks
Strongbow

Well, there are many options for this:
- Maybe your DVD-Player is set to YC (S-VHS) - Output? then all you get is the Luminance-Signal without any color.
- could be a problem with NTSC/PAL, but I doubt it. If your recorder is recording, then it should be ok.
- Do you get a color-picture when you set your vcr video-input to the dvd and look at the tv-screen (on the vcr-input)?
