  1. I am trying to convert a file with tempgenc to dvd r format then burn in ulead movie factory 3 to play in a standalone player. I have found this lowers burning time. I have tried what the post for common tempgenc problems said to do and it didn't work so I checked avicodec to find what the codec was. I don't know how to post that screen or I would. Avicodec is telling me that it is MPG2 and a Mpeg-1 audio Layer 2 which it says right next to both that they are supported. I did have nimo codec packs installed but I recently erased them. If anyone can help please do.

  2. TmpGenc has difficulty opening mpg2 files. If you are lucky it may already be DVD compliant. If not, try frameserving it from dvd2avi. Search the guides and forum for more info.
