    For best quality should I use 6000 or 8000 average bit rate?

    The higer the bitrate the better the quality. but make sure it will still fit on the disc.
    You can use the bitrate calculator. it's in the tools section on the left.

    8000 is naturally better than 6000 in theory, but the reality of the situation is that I don't think you would notice the difference.
