You could edit your MPEG and use whatever part you need as your first track and the full MPEG as your other track, then in the first play settings select play only first track. If that's what you want it sounds like it would work.

I have a number 4 sports events in the one MPEG and I want to set up a menu that plays each one then goes back to the menu. I guess TMPgenc DVDauthor won't do it.

Sorry to revive this old thread, but I'm now having the same problem despite seperating my MPEG file into a number of MPEGs.

I can't find a way to make TMPGenc DVD Author play one MPEG at a time then return to the main menu. If it plays one it plays them all. Is there an end action for the timelines in this program???

  5. Im pretty sure you can start the start and end points for each track in Tmpgenc DVD Author. You would maybe have to load your full mpg 4 times, each as a separate track and use "Edit" to show it the parts you want. You can then decide if you want it to go back to the main menu or on to the next track

  6. Author will do this, I've done it many many times. What you need to do is: Make sure you load your clips into Author as SEPERATE TRACKS. See that blue text that says "add new track"? You want to click that and add a track, click it again, add the next one. having them all in one track makes Author think you WANT the to play one after the other.

Thanks guys. I had been clicking on "add file" on the right hand side and I think I was therefore adding under the 1 file. What a muppet!

Hey, mh2360. Is that B in your avatar, that really brings me back a few years. Lizzie was the best though. One gorgeous lady.

What you had been doing was making each clip its own chapter. That's why they played concurrently.
    If in doubt, Google it.
