    Hi -
    I'm having inconsistent playback problems when I try to play my DVDs & DVD+Rs on my Initial 1810 portable DVD player. I am getting frequent skipping & freezing with different DVDs, all of which play flawlessly on my stand alone player. The skipping & freezing is occurring at different places on a handful of my DVDs. I tried running a lens-cleaning-disc through the player already, but that didn't help. I've had the player for about a year, but have only used it a few times. Any suggestions? I can't even find the website for the manufacturer online. Thanks for your help.

    Hello,
    Pay attention to the media and format (ie +vs-). If you find one brand or format messes up more than another switch. That's probably the best you could hope for. Unless they have a firmware upgrade for it!

    I've always used only Memorex & TDK DVD+Rs and have only started having playback problems now. Thanks for replying, yoda.
