  1. i recently downloaded something but when it completed i discovered that instead odf this clip being an mpeg file it is actually a video clip file.
i cant get it to open on mediaplayer and nne of my dvd conversion progs will read it. the only thing it works on is the player that came part of my kazaalite codec pack.
Is there any way of changing this to mpeg?
i was looking up from my bed at the stars when i wondered....Where the hells my ceiling?????

Please download and run GSpot to identify what format the video is actually in. All the "video clip" means is that it is .AVI, which can have a plethora of video codecs in it (well, each AVI can only have one, but there's a lot to choose from :) ).

Once you know what format it is in, then you should be able to find and install a proper codec to play it in mediaplayer, and at that point you should be able to convert it to MPEG if so desired still (TMPGEnc is good for that conversion).
