i've a file in wmv format which i've d/l it cannot be play by windows media player 9. I get the error "unsupported format"when i try to play . I guess i'm do not have the correct codec installed.; is there any tool like Gspot that detects the codes used by the file? THanks in advance![]()

try it in media player classic. WMP9 stopped playing it's native format for me several months ago. Every other media player on the PC plays it fine, there is no codec problem, but WMP9 crashes every time. It's truly pathetic.
