  1. Over half of the .avi files I have tried to encode come up with this error:

There is no quoted number of Character-string '%.2f'
Has anyone else gotten this? WTF!?!?! I can encode all of the same files with version 2.5?
Look, let me explain something. I'm not Mr. Lebowski; you're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. That, or Duder. His Dudeness. Or El Duderino, if, you know, you're not into the whole brevity thing--

  3. To save someone a click...

This error jumps out if your output drive doesn't have enough space left or your working drive usually "C:\" does not have enough space to store the cache while encoding OR you are trying to output a file larger then 4 gigs to a hard drive that is formated with FAT 32 file structure, and the largest file size allowed under FAT32 is... you guessed it 4 gigs.

So what you need to to is empty out your recycling bin, convert your output drive to NTFS file structure or reduce the output file size.

    Cheers

The only problem is I have an NTSF drive and a 160 GB C: Drive with over 120 GB free. Not sure what could be causing mine then

  5. Yeah Im in precisely the same boat...NTFS and 120 GB. No lack of space. Better luck next time Lito. Try again. Bring on the next genius...

I've seen that error on another person's computer. The exact cause is that you've got entirely too much porn on your hard drive.

OK I am pretty sure I have the solve for this problem.
I believe that there are 2 parts to the issue.
1 part is in relation to the output file size. If there is not enough room on the output drive then there is an error (obviously)

    2. When I attempted to do the conversion I was using a custom made template that I created. When I used a standard MPEG template is worked. I tried this a few times. My only conclusion is that the files I was trying to convert and merge (14) were not compatible with the settings that I chose.

Use this information as you will. :P
