  2. Do you know if the TV capture is better then the previous models of AIW?

These cards wiill not capture at a quality that I would call DVD quality. MOre like VHS.

I have a 9200 AIW but I use a DV capture card for my DVD's from analog sources.

The difference between your card and the 9800 is on the graphics end. So unless your into gaming or 3-D animation there's no difference.

BTW try Lordsmurf's guides for capturing with your AIW, it comes highly recommeded from many people. http://digitalfaq.com

Yes they will. If used properly.

The software was made by techs, so video settings are bad or just wrong. You must tweak them to get correct quality. It's really easy. Follow the guides. You can make one in 30 seconds.

  5. Thanks,
I will check out http://digitalfaq.com to see how you are capturing Mpeg2 with an AIW card.
In my experience capturing MPeg2 on the fly is not the way to get the best quality. I'm only interested in the best quality so it needs to look good on SD or HDTV's.
