  1. I have a compact Disc Recordable Rewritable. Anyhow i think it's crashed. it doesnt show up in the "my computer" icon. Also, i can't use run it's like it's not even there. However, i went to computer Management and i have a thing that says disk drive ST360021A. However, i think its my C drive, but could this be the burner? I unplugged the buner and then updates my hardware and it was still there (the ST360021A) saying it was active. So, i don't think that the burner and it didnt seem like anything changed. When i do try and burn with it. I looks like it really did burn it on the CD, but i cant play it or run the stuff. If anyone can help that would be nice, but im guessing the burner crashed. I also, noticed on the back i have cable select, slave, master, It's on cable select. Should i change it to slave or master? Also, what are these 3 things i have heard of them before.

The ST360021A is a Seagate hard disk. No chance it's confusing that with your CD-RW drive.

    Try this:

Move the CD burner from the existing IDE channel to the other. Make sure both are enabled in setup. Then check with device manager and see if it shows up on the other channel. If it does, you might have an issue with a master/slave jumper on the CD-RW. Try removing the jumper and retry on the original IDE channel if that's the case

Just tell me if im getting this right. You want me to pretty much take it out of it's "slot" and put it into another one and see if it will work there? Want is the master/slave jumpers?
