Since it's not listed in DVD player section yet, I have sent in submission to have it added. Until then, I'll post my $0.02 on this here. It is different from the PD-510 currently listed. Here's a link to Apex site: http://www.apexdigitalinc.com/proddetail.asp?category=Portables&subcat=&linenumber=98

Overall it seems pretty good but I wouldn't call it great. It had no trouble playing VCD on CD-R and CD-RW (have not tested SVCD yet) and it had no trouble with JPG and MPG3 files. It also handled DVD+RW formatted as DVD and as VCD with 48KHz audio. I didn't have DVD+R or any DVD-R/RW to experiment with.

I did get an occasional stutter in video playback when playing dual layered disk but I'm not sure if it's just the player I have or if it's a problem with all PD-500. It happems maybe once every 20-30 minutes and is noticeable when you're using TV rather than the 5" LCD to view with.

LCD is pretty good overall, it came a little too bright but it can be adjusted. Color is also user adjustable. It does have S-Video and composite out as well as composite in for using game console or video camera. 2 headphone jacks on the player ensures your kids won't be fighting over the headphone. It also came with a 2.5 hour battery pack that can be detatched so the player itself isn't heavy at all. The battery pack adds about 2" to the back. The player can be powered by either 120v adapter or car adapter (both included)

The remote controller is about the size of credit card, a little thicker and has many common functions but not all functions. It doesn't have any identifying mark like dimple so using the remote in the dark is a gamble. :P

I'd give DVD player about 8.5 out of 10 due to video hiccups and remote controller.
